Functions
1. The potassium formate liquor is mainly adopted to generate water-based workover, completion, drilling and fracturing liquids in the density range of 8.4-13.1 lb/gal (1007-1570kg/m3). These liquids are solids-free and non-corrosive, and they are very stable under high temperature and high pressure conditions.
2. The CHO2K solution eliminates the possibility of formation damage which is usually resulted from the precipitation of carbonate, bicarbonate or sulfate compounds. These compounds can be formed easily when using calcium-base brines at places where there are a lot of bicarbonate and sulfate ions in formation water. Moreover, formation damage caused by clay swelling, clay dispersion or migration is also avoided.
3. Our potassium formate brine system is able to stabilize shales, improve polymer and borehole stability. Moreover, it is quite compatible with reservoir fluids at reservoir conditions, thus increasing the productivity of well.
4. Aside from abovementioned functions, the potassium formate liquor can be used to clean holes and increase circulation rates by providing optimum hydraulic flow.

Safety and Handling
For safety considerations, personal protective equipment is highly recommended and actually it is a must. Before work, please refer to the precautions illustrated in the MSDS.
Packaging and Storage
The potassium formate liquor is packed in 55USG HDPE drum or 1000L IBC tote tank.
The container should be closed, and then placed at a dry, well-ventilated area that is away from heat, sparks, flames and incompatible materials. For palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and stacking operations, please follow safe warehousing practices.
